Instructions
 

Cooking the Chicken

  • In a large skillet, heat a drizzle of oil over medium heat.
  • Add the diced chicken and cook for about 6-8 minutes until browned and cooked through, stirring occasionally.

Making the Sauce

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and grated ginger until well combined.

Combining Flavors

Thickening the Sauce

  • Mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry. Add this to the skillet, stirring well until the sauce thickens.

Preparing the Avocado

  • In a separate bowl, toss the diced avocado with lime juice and a pinch of salt.

  • Use a greased ring mold or small bowl to layer the ingredients. Start with cooked rice, followed by avocado, and top with teriyaki chicken.

Finishing Touches
