Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Spray a large casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until cooked through and drain any excess fat.
  • Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the Sloppy Joe sauce and let it simmer for 3 minutes.
  • Spread half the crescent roll dough in the bottom of the prepared dish.
  • Pour the beef mixture over the crescent dough and sprinkle generously with cheddar cheese.
  • Roll out the remaining crescent dough over the cheese layer.

Baking

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  • Let it cool slightly before serving; garnish with chopped green onions.
