Salad Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cooked steak, sliced Use your favorite cut of steak.
  • 10 ounces tomatoes, sliced Ripe tomatoes work best.
  • 4 cups salad greens Baby greens or mixed greens recommended.
  • 1 purple onion, sliced Can use red onion if preferred.
  • 1/3 cup gorgonzola or blue cheese, crumbled Feta can be used as a substitute.

Balsamic Dressing

  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Instructions
 

Balsamic Dressing

  • Combine olive oil, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, honey, dijon mustard, salt, and pepper in a mason jar.
  • Secure the lid tightly and shake vigorously until well combined. Set aside.

Steak Salad

  • Layer the salad greens at the base of your serving platter.
  • Arrange sliced steak over the greens.
  • Add sliced tomatoes and purple onions.
  • Sprinkle crumbled gorgonzola over the top.
  • Drizzle half of the balsamic dressing over the salad before serving, reserving the rest on the side.

Notes

Consider marinating the steak in olive oil, garlic, and herbs for enhanced flavor. Store dressing separately to keep salad fresh.
