Preparation

  • Combine all ingredients in the crockpot, starting with cottage cheese at the bottom.
  • Layer in shredded cheddar, diced tomatoes, onions, and bell peppers.
  • Sprinkle garlic powder and chili powder over the top, then add salt and pepper.
  • Stir everything carefully to ensure even distribution.
  • Cover the crockpot and let it cook on low heat for 2-3 hours.
  • Stir occasionally to help the cheeses meld together.
  • Once warm and bubbling, the queso is ready to serve.

Notes

Use freshly grated cheese for better melting. Add black beans or corn for variation. For extra spice, add jalapeƱos or hot sauce.
