  • 2 bulbs garlic Chopped tops off before roasting

Cheese

  • to taste Cheese (mozzarella and parmesan mix)

Garnish

  • to taste Parsley, chopped For sprinkling on top
  • to taste Olive oil For drizzling before roasting

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • Chop the tops off the garlic bulbs and shallots. Place them on a piece of foil, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Wrap the foil around them and bake in the oven for 1 to 1 hour 15 minutes until they are golden and caramelized. Once done, let them cool.

Mixing and Baking

  • Squeeze the roasted garlic and shallots into a bowl. Add the softened butter, miso, chili flakes, salt, and pepper. Mix everything well until combined.
  • Slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise. Generously spread the mixture over both halves. If you’d like, make slits in the bread for added flavor infusion.
  • Top with a mix of mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
  • Grill or broil in the oven at 180°C (350°F) for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted and the top is golden brown. Keep an eye on it to avoid burning.

Serving

  • Remove from the oven, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and drizzle with honey. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

This garlic bread is best enjoyed warm and fresh out of the oven. Wrap leftovers tightly in foil or store them in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 10 minutes until warmed through.
