Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.

Mixing Dry Ingredients

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.

Creaming Butter and Sugar

  • In a large bowl, beat the softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

Incorporating Eggs and Flavoring

  • Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Then, mix in the vanilla extract and red food coloring.
  • Blend in the buttermilk and vinegar until smooth.

Combining Mixtures

Baking
