Cream Cheese Swirl Ingredients

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, melt the butter and whisk in the granulated sugar until well combined.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract and red food coloring.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

Cooking

  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing gently until just combined.
  • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  • Add the egg and vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture, mixing until creamy.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture on top of the brownie batter and swirl gently with a knife.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Allow to cool for about 10 minutes before lifting out onto a wire rack.

Notes

For best results, avoid overmixing the batter and allow the brownie batter to sit for a few minutes before baking. Serve warm for the ultimate indulgence.
