Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a large bowl, combine the softened butter, cream cheese, and sugar. Beat until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, mixing until combined.
  • Gradually stir in the dry ingredients until just combined to avoid overmixing.

Baking

  • Fold in the mini chocolate chips and crushed peppermint candies.
  • Drop tablespoon-sized cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart, and press extra crushed peppermint candies on top.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown.
  • Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
