Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease an 8x8-inch baking dish.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter until moistened. Press firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  • Bake for about 10 minutes, then set aside to cool.

Cream Cheese Layer

  • In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  • Spread this mixture evenly over the cooled crust.

Pecan Pie Layer

  • In another bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and flour until well combined.
  • Fold in the chopped pecans, then pour this mixture over the cream cheese layer in the baking dish.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the pecan pie layer is set and golden.
  • Let the dessert cool completely at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Serving
