Instructions

Preparation

  • Gradually add the warm water and olive oil to the bowl, stirring until a dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5-7 minutes, until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  • Once the dough is well-kneaded, cover it and let it rest for 15 minutes to relax the gluten.
  • While the dough is resting, heat a pan over medium heat.
  • In another bowl, mix together the chopped green onions, spinach, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  • Divide the rested dough into small portions, then roll each portion into a flat circle, about 6 inches in diameter.
  • Sprinkle the spinach and green onion mixture on top of each dough circle, making sure to distribute it evenly.
  • Fold the dough over the filling, encasing it completely, then roll it out again gently to flatten.

Cooking

  • Place the prepared flatbreads in the heated pan, cooking for 2-3 minutes on each side, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  • As soon as they’re out of the pan, brush each flatbread with melted butter while they’re still warm.

Serving
