Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, rice vinegar, and gochujang to create a flavorful marinade.
  • Place the thinly sliced flank steak into the marinade, ensuring each piece is evenly coated. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.

Cooking

  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently until browned and cooked through.
  • While the beef is cooking, warm the cooked rice in the microwave or on the stove until hot.

Assembly

  • Layer the warm rice at the bottom of a bowl or plate, then generously top with the cooked Korean BBQ beef.
  • Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions over the beef for added flavor and color.
