Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine warm water and yeast; let sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  • In another bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and Italian seasoning blend.
  • Add olive oil to the yeast mixture; gradually mix in dry ingredients to form a sticky dough.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let rise in a warm area until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  • Punch down the dough and fold in mozzarella cheese evenly.
  • Shape the dough into a loaf or round shape; place on a lined baking sheet and let rise again for about 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for approximately 25 minutes until golden brown.
