  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger (grated) Lively and fragrant.
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar Rounds out the flavors.
  • 2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds for garnish Adds crunch and visual appeal.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides, then place them in the baking dish.

Making the Sauce

  • In a bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and brown sugar. Mix until smooth.
  • Pour half of the sauce over the chicken, ensuring it’s evenly coated.

Baking

  • Bake the chicken for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.

Preparing the Broccoli

  • Steam or blanch the broccoli florets for about 4 minutes until bright green and crisp.
  • Toss the steamed broccoli with the remaining sauce and return it to the oven for an additional 5 minutes.

Serving

  • Serve hot, garnished with toasted sesame seeds.

Notes

Pairs well with jasmine rice or quinoa. For a lower-carb option, try cauliflower rice. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days in the refrigerator, or freeze for up to 3 months.
