  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper a warming spice to enhance the flavor of the meat.
  • 2 teaspoons Salt to bring out the natural flavors.
  • 1 tablespoon Dried Oregano imparting a herby, aromatic quality.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder for a subtle depth of flavor.
  • 2 teaspoons Dried Thyme bringing a delightful earthiness.
  • 1/2 tablespoon Smoked Paprika adding a touch of smokiness.
  • 3-4 cloves Garlic Cloves infusing the dish with robust garlicky goodness.
  • 1/2 piece Red Bell Pepper providing a sweet, colorful touch.
  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil rich and healthful, perfect for marinating.
  • Juice from 1/2 piece Lemon brightening up the flavors.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Process or blend the red bell pepper, fresh parsley, and garlic cloves until you achieve a coarse mixture. Set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the lamb chops with the bell pepper mixture, black pepper, salt, oregano, onion powder, thyme, smoked paprika, olive oil, and lemon juice. Massage the marinade into the meat, ensuring each chop is evenly coated.
  • Cover the bowl and let it marinate in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  • Bring the lamb chops back to room temperature before cooking.

Cooking

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Heat about 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a cast iron skillet over medium heat.
  • Sear each lamb chop for 1-2 minutes on each side until they develop a rich, brown crust.
  • Transfer the lamb chops back to the skillet and bake for 2-5 minutes for medium-rare to medium doneness or 5-10 minutes for medium-well to well done.
  • Remove from the oven and let the lamb chops rest for a few minutes.

Serving

  • Serve the lamb chops garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Marinate longer for bolder flavors and consider using fresh herbs for a unique twist. Be sure to check doneness with a meat thermometer.
