Ingredients
  

For the filling

  • 12 large large marshmallows Soft and sweet, these form the gooey center.
  • 12 squares milk chocolate Smooth and creamy, these melt beautifully.

For the coating

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs Provides the classic S’mores flavor.
  • 1 cup pancake mix Forms the base for a rich and thick coating.
  • 3/4 cup water Helps achieve the desired batter consistency.
  • 1 cup flour Ensures a crispy texture.
  • Oil for frying Necessary for that delightful crunch.
  • powdered sugar optional Powdered sugar for dusting Adds an extra layer of sweetness.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Heat the oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  • Place a square of milk chocolate on top of a large marshmallow; gently press to stick.
  • Roll the chocolate-covered marshmallow in graham cracker crumbs until fully coated.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine pancake mix, flour, and water, stirring until thick.
  • Dip each graham cracker-coated marshmallow into the batter until fully covered.

Frying

  • Carefully place the battered marshmallows into the hot oil.
  • Fry for about 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  • Use a slotted spoon to remove them from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate.

Serving

  • Dust with powdered sugar before serving. Serve warm.

Notes

For added flavor, use flavored chocolate. Add cornstarch to the batter for crispiness. Make different coatings like crushed nuts. Serve with chocolate or caramel for dipping.
