  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (plain or Italian) Provides texture.
  • 1 large egg Acts as a binding agent.
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced) Adds aromatic flavor.
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley (chopped) For freshness.
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Enhances flavor.
  • to taste salt and pepper Essential seasonings.

For Cooking

  • 2 cups marinara sauce To serve with the meatballs.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil For searing the meatballs.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, parsley, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  • Shape the mixture into uniform meatballs about 1-1.5 inches in diameter.

Cooking

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the meatballs until browned all over (about 8 minutes).
  • Transfer meatballs to the baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until cooked through (165°F internal temperature).
  • Warm the marinara sauce in a separate saucepan. Toss cooked meatballs in the sauce before serving.

Notes

Overbaking can make meatballs dry; monitor cooking time. Use gluten-free breadcrumbs for a gluten-free option.
