Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract until well blended.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined.

Cinnamon Filling and Baking

  • In another small bowl, create the cinnamon filling by combining the melted butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon.
  • Pour half of your batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
  • Spoon half of the cinnamon filling over the batter and gently swirl with a knife.
  • Repeat with the remaining batter and cinnamon filling.
  • Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Icing and Serving

  • Whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth to make the icing.
  • Once the bread cools slightly, drizzle the warm icing over the loaf.

Notes
