Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 large potatoes (peeled and cubed)
  • 1 tsp garlic granules
  • 1 tsp onion granules
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 4 tbsp cornflour Add more as needed.
  • Cooking oil spray
  • 100 g butter
  • 2 tsp garlic granules (for the butter)
  • 1 handful fresh parsley (chopped)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Peel and cube the potatoes, then boil them in water until fork-tender (15-20 minutes).
  • Drain the potatoes and transfer them to a mixing bowl. While still warm, add garlic granules, onion granules, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy, adjusting the seasonings to taste.
  • Add cornflour to the mashed potatoes and mix until a thick dough forms. Add more cornflour if the mixture is too sticky.
  • Roll the mixture into golf ball-sized portions and place them in the air fryer basket.
  • Lightly spray the potato balls with cooking oil.

Cooking

  • Air-fry the potato pops at 200°C (400°F) for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  • While frying, prepare the garlic butter by melting butter with garlic granules and chopped parsley in the microwave.
  • Once the potato pops are golden, drizzle them with the garlic butter and toss gently.

Serving

  • Serve the Crispy Garlic Potato Pops immediately while warm, ideal for dipping or snacking.

Notes

Experiment with spices like cayenne pepper or fresh herbs. Breading the potato balls before frying adds extra crispiness.
