Ingredients
  

Cheese Mixture

  • 2 blocks cream cheese, softened 8 oz blocks
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped dill pickles
  • 2 tbsp pickle juice
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill or 1 tsp dried
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions

Coating

  • 1/2 cup crushed Ritz crackers or chopped pecans for coating

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, finely chopped dill pickles, and pickle juice.
  • Add garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper into the mix. Stir until all ingredients are fully incorporated and the mixture is creamy.
  • Shape the mixture into a ball using your hands or wrap it in plastic wrap to mold it more neatly.
  • Refrigerate the cheese ball for at least 1 hour to allow it to firm up properly.
  • After chilling, roll the cheese ball in your choice of crushed Ritz crackers or chopped pecans to create a beautiful crust.
  • Serve with an assortment of crackers, pretzels, or colorful veggie sticks.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding smoked paprika, different herbs like thyme or parsley, or a few dashes of hot sauce for heat. Optional variations include rolling in bacon bits or using gluten-free crackers.
