Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  • Grease a 9-inch springform pan with melted butter and line the bottom with parchment paper.
  • Unroll the cinnamon rolls, cut each into quarters, and arrange them in the prepared pan to form a base layer.
  • In a small bowl, combine melted butter, ground cinnamon, and brown sugar. Drizzle this mixture over the cinnamon roll pieces.

Baking the Base

  • Bake the cinnamon rolls in the oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

Making the Cheesecake Filling

  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Then fold in vanilla extract, sour cream, and heavy cream.

Assembling and Baking

  • Pour the cheesecake filling over the baked cinnamon roll base, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  • Bake the cheesecake for 50-60 minutes until the center is set and the edges are slightly golden.
  • Let the cheesecake cool to room temperature before refrigerating for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

Finishing Touch

  • For the topping, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon in a bowl. Drizzle this over the chilled cheesecake.
  • Dust the cheesecake with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

For the best flavor, prepare the cheesecake a day in advance. Ensure room temperature ingredients for a smooth filling, and check for doneness by looking for a slight jiggle in the center when baking.
