Ingredients
  

Beef Filling

  • 1 lb ground beef Freshly ground beef, ensure it's halal.
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp chili powder Adjust for spiciness.
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp salt To taste.
  • 1/4 tsp pepper To taste.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Can substitute with other types of cheese.

Wrap Components

  • 4 large flour tortillas Use soft flour tortillas for best results.
  • 1/2 cup sour cream Optional for serving.
  • to taste fresh lettuce, chopped For topping.
  • to taste fresh tomatoes, chopped For topping.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  • Add ground beef, chopped onions, and minced garlic to the skillet, stirring occasionally.
  • Once the beef is browned and onions are soft, drain excess fat.
  • Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper, and let the mixture meld.
  • Remove the skillet from heat and fold in shredded cheddar cheese until melted.

Assembly

  • Warm tortillas in a skillet or microwave until soft.
  • Spoon beef filling into the center of each tortilla.
  • Roll each tortilla tightly to encase the filling.
  • Serve with sour cream, fresh lettuce, and tomatoes on top.

Notes

Ensure to keep an eye on the cooking time to prevent overcooking the beef. Experiment with different cheeses or make a vegetarian version with sautéed mushrooms and black beans.
