  • 24 oz marinara or pasta sauce Provides rich flavor.
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese Creates a gooey layer.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Adds flavor and richness.
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp butter For greasing the dish, optional.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter.
  • Spread 1/2 cup of marinara sauce at the bottom of the dish.
  • Arrange half of the frozen cheese ravioli in a single layer over the sauce.
  • Top with half of the remaining marinara sauce, 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese, and a sprinkle of grated Parmesan.
  • Repeat the layers with the remaining ravioli, sauce, and cheeses.
  • Top with a sprinkle of Italian seasoning.
  • Cover the dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the top is golden brown.
  • Let the casserole cool for about 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Consider adding layers of sautéed vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for extra nutrition. Fresh herbs like basil or parsley can enhance the dish’s flavor before serving.
