Ingredients
  

For the Filling

  • 1/2 lb ground beef Drained of excess fat
  • 1/4 cup diced onions Adds sweetness and aroma
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar Provides creamy texture
  • 1 tbsp ketchup Enhances flavor
  • 1 tbsp mustard Adds tanginess
  • 1/2 tsp salt To taste
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper To taste

For Wrapping

  • 6 pieces egg roll wrappers For wrapping the filling
  • 1 large egg Beaten for sealing the rolls
  • oil For frying

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the ground beef and diced onions. Cook until browned.
  • Drain excess fat from the cooked beef mixture.
  • Stir in ketchup, mustard, salt, and black pepper; allow to cool slightly.
  • Mix in the shredded cheddar until combined.

Assembly

  • Lay out the egg roll wrappers and place a spoonful of filling in the center.
  • Fold the sides over the filling and roll tightly, sealing the edge with beaten egg.

Frying

  • Heat oil in a deep pan or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • Fry the egg rolls until golden brown on all sides.
  • Drain on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven to retain crispness.
