Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add the brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt to the melted butter. Stir until dissolved.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and stir until smooth. Let the mixture cool slightly.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the cooled sugar and butter mixture to the eggs, whisking constantly.
  • Fold in the chopped pecans gently.
  • Pour the pecan mixture into the pie crust, spreading it out evenly.

Baking

  • Bake for 40-45 minutes until the filling is set and the top is golden brown.
  • Let the pie cool completely before serving.

Serving

  • Optionally, serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

To elevate the pie, consider toasting the pecans before adding them. A sprinkle of sea salt on top before serving adds a wonderful contrast.
