Ingredients
  

For the crust

  • 1.5 cups graham cracker crumbs Provides a crispy, slightly salty base.

For the brownie layer

  • 1 box brownie mix Use your favorite homemade or store-bought recipe.
  • 0.25 cups vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons water To create a gooey texture.

For the cheesecake layer

  • 24 oz cream cheese, softened Adds a velvety texture.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar For sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For a warm aroma.
  • 3 large eggs
  • 0.25 cups sour cream For creaminess.
  • 0.5 cups caramel sauce Store-bought or homemade for drizzling.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Prepare a 9-inch springform pan by greasing it and lining the bottom with parchment paper.
  • Prepare your brownie batter according to package instructions or your preferred homemade recipe. Spread the brownie batter evenly in the bottom of the prepared pan.
  • Bake the brownie layer for about 20 minutes, then remove it and set aside to cool slightly.

Cheesecake preparation

  • In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar together until smooth and creamy.
  • Add the vanilla extract and mix well. Gradually incorporate the eggs, adding them one at a time and beating well after each addition.
  • Stir in the sour cream until fully combined to create a thick batter.
  • Pour the cheesecake batter over the partially baked brownie layer. Drizzle caramel sauce over the cheesecake layer and swirl it with a knife or skewer.
  • Bake the cheesecake for 50-60 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center has a slight jiggle.

Cooling and chilling

  • Once baked, turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool inside with the door slightly ajar for about an hour.
  • After cooling, allow it to reach room temperature before transferring to the fridge.
  • Chill for at least 4 hours or preferably overnight to allow flavors to meld beautifully.
  • Drizzle extra caramel sauce over the top just before serving.

Notes

For greater flavor, consider adding chocolate chips or nuts to the brownie layer. Pair with ice cream or fresh berries for serving. Be sure to refrigerate completely before serving to ensure it sets well.
