Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces salmon fillets (skin-on or skinless)
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

Garnishes

  • to taste Fresh chopped parsley For garnish
  • as needed Lemon wedges For serving

Instructions

Preparation

  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.

Cooking

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the salmon fillets, skin-side down if applicable, and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until cooked through.
  • Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.
  • Reduce the heat to medium and add butter, minced garlic, and honey to the skillet. Stir until the butter melts and mixture becomes bubbly.
  • Add fresh lemon juice and stir to combine.
  • Return the seared salmon to the skillet and spoon the honey butter sauce over the top. Simmer for another 2 minutes.

Serving

  • Plate the salmon and drizzle remaining honey butter sauce on top. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

For added flavor, let the salmon marinate in the Cajun seasoning for 30 minutes before cooking. Substitute butter with mashed avocado or olive oil for a healthier option.
