Instructions
 

Cooking the Pasta

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the bowtie pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.
  • Once cooked, drain the pasta and set aside.

Preparing the Beef

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon.
  • Once nicely browned, drain any excess fat.

Making the Sauce

  • Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes, until the onion is translucent.
  • Stir in the diced tomatoes and tomato sauce, along with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for about 5-7 minutes.

Combining Everything

  • Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet and toss gently to coat with sauce.
  • Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until well mixed.

Serving

  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves and extra Parmesan if desired.

Notes

Avoid overcooking the pasta for the best texture. Keep some pasta water on hand to adjust sauce consistency if needed.
