  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Use room temperature for easy blending.
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar For a touch of sweetness.
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream Whip until stiff peaks form.

Layering Ingredients

  • 1 cup chocolate cookie crumbs For the crunchy component.
  • 1 cup chocolate ganache Silky and smooth for drizzle.
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate shavings For garnish.
  • to taste fresh mint leaves For garnish.

Preparation of Filling

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar. Use a hand mixer to beat the mixture until it is smooth and creamy.
  • In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until you form stiff peaks.
  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until well incorporated.
  • Slowly pour in your Baileys and fold delicately until fully integrated.

Assembly

  • Start with a layer of chocolate cookie crumbs at the bottom of your trifle dish.
  • Add a generous layer of the Baileys cream mixture on top.
  • Drizzle a layer of chocolate ganache over the cream.
  • Continue layering until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of Baileys cream on top.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  • Garnish with dark chocolate shavings and fresh mint leaves just before serving.

Notes

This trifle can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Consider using reduced-fat cream cheese or Greek yogurt for a lighter version. Be sure to fold gently to maintain lightness.
