Description
A comforting one-pot dish that combines savory beef with a creamy garlic butter sauce and pasta, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 4 cups beef broth
- 12 oz penne or other short pasta
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large pot or deep skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain any excess fat.
- Season the beef with onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Pour in the beef broth and add the uncooked pasta. Stir well.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and simmer for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender.
- Once the pasta is cooked, stir in the heavy cream, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese.
- Let it simmer uncovered for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and becomes creamy.
- Remove from heat, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve hot.
Notes
Serve with a side salad or garlic bread. Adjust the thickness of the sauce by varying the amount of heavy cream.
