A comforting one-pot dish that combines savory beef with a creamy garlic butter sauce and pasta, perfect for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 12 oz penne or other short pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot or deep skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain any excess fat.
  4. Season the beef with onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  5. Pour in the beef broth and add the uncooked pasta. Stir well.
  6. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and simmer for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender.
  7. Once the pasta is cooked, stir in the heavy cream, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese.
  8. Let it simmer uncovered for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and becomes creamy.
  9. Remove from heat, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve hot.

Notes

Serve with a side salad or garlic bread. Adjust the thickness of the sauce by varying the amount of heavy cream.
