- 4 hoagie rolls
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Chop the onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned (7-10 minutes).
- Drain excess fat.
- Add onions and bell peppers; cook until softened (5-7 minutes).
- If using mushrooms, add them now.
- Season with salt and pepper; adjust to taste.
- Layer provolone cheese over the mixture; cover for about three minutes until melted.
- Spoon generously into hoagie rolls and serve immediately.
