Description

A quick and delicious twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich with the unexpected zing of dill pickles.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices sourdough bread
  • 2 oz sharp cheddar cheese, sliced
  • 2 oz dill pickles, sliced
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and place one slice of bread butter-side down in the skillet.
  3. Layer the cheese on top.
  4. Add the pickles, then cover with the second slice of bread (butter-side up).
  5. Cook for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Flip and grill the other side until equally golden.
  7. Slice diagonally and serve warm.

Notes
