- 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ¼ cups warm water (110°F)
- 2 tsp active dry yeast
- ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil (divided)
- 4 cloves fresh garlic (minced)
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- Combine warm water and active dry yeast in a mixing bowl and let sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.
- Add half of the olive oil and the frothy yeast mixture into the flour mixture and stir until a shaggy dough forms.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Once risen, punch down the dough and transfer it to an oiled baking sheet, stretching it into an even layer.
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and drizzle the remaining olive oil over the dough, followed by the minced garlic and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for about 25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before slicing into warm pieces.

For a dairy-free version, substitute Parmesan with a dairy-free cheese alternative.
