- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp Italian herbs
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until no longer pink. Drain excess fat and stir in the minced garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian herbs.
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into rectangles.
- Spoon the beef mixture onto each pastry piece and top with shredded cheddar.
- Fold over and seal the edges tightly.
- Melt butter and mix in remaining minced garlic. Brush this mixture over each rollup.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and puffed up.
Notes
For lighter options, you can substitute ground turkey or chicken and use dairy-free cheese.
