Description

Tender and juicy turkey meatballs bathed in rich marinara sauce, perfect for a comforting family dinner or quick weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (plain or Italian)
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, parsley, Parmesan cheese, along with a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into uniform meatballs about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the meatballs until browned, about 8 minutes.
  5. Transfer the meatballs to the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15 to 20 minutes until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
  6. Warm the marinara sauce in a separate saucepan, then toss the meatballs in the sauce before serving.

Notes

These meatballs freeze beautifully. Portion them into airtight containers for up to 3 months in the freezer. They are also great served with spaghetti or in sub sandwiches.
