Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 2 tablespoons Granulated Sugar
- 1 ½ cups Milk
- ½ cup Unsalted Butter (1 stick), melted
- 1 cup Blueberries (fresh or frozen)
- 1 cup Powdered Sugar
- 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1 teaspoon Lemon Zest
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Place the butter in an 8×8 dish and melt it in the oven while it preheats.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and granulated sugar.
- Stir in the milk until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Gently fold in the blueberries to the dough.
- Remove the dish with the melted butter from the oven and pour the dough into the buttered dish, allowing the melted butter to surround the dough without stirring.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the top is golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- While the biscuits bake, whisk together the powdered sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest to make the glaze.
- Once the biscuits are warm and golden, drizzle the glaze over the top.
- Slice into squares and serve warm.
