A delicious baked version of Nashville hot chicken sandwiches that offer a spicy twist with a crunchy texture, perfect for a family dinner or a casual cookout.

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup hot sauce (your favorite brand)
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- In another bowl, mix cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and sugar for your spice blend.
- Coat each chicken breast in hot sauce, then dredge in panko breadcrumbs mixed with half of the spice mixture.
- Place the coated chicken in the baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Slice the chicken into sandwich-sized pieces.
- Spread mayonnaise on toasted buns, add chicken, top with pickles, and drizzle with extra hot sauce if desired.
